UPDATE: YouTube Once Again! Back to Blogging and I'M MOVING TO PARIS?

Hey Guys!

How have you all been? It's been a while, huh?

Today's post is just a little update as to what I've been upto for the last year. Here I go-

1. I dropped out of school.
2. Started my YouTube Channel.
3. Went to Lakme Fashion Week, Mumbai.
4. Went to hair school and got a L'oreal certified hairstylist licence (came 3rd in class, 90/100). And yes, I finally coloured my hair blue, green, blond, purple, white, and much more!
5. Went to the Toronto International Film Festival for a movie my uncle produced, called Parched, directed by: Leena Yadav, produced by: Ajay Devgan, Aseem Bajaj, Gulab uncle and my uncle.
6. Worked for Mirrors Spa and Salon as a hair stylist and makeup artist.
7. Worked as an intern (makeup) for Shivaay, starring, directed and produced: Ajay Devgan. My boss, Preetisheel Singh was an amazing boss and she helped me out so much!
8. Graduated High School. How you may ask? Well, I homeschooled with NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling).

All that was from March 2015 to June 2016.

As for now, I applied to a few makeup academies and I got into all, thankfully. After a lot of confusion, changing my plans form going to Los Angeles in October 2016 to going to Mumbai (to work and live alone) to going back to my very first plan, Singapore to going to Europe. Damn, my plans changed THAT much in 2 months. At the end, I applied to Australia, London and Paris, Paris being my first choice. I got into all the places in Australia, not in London (one year too young for the cut off) and lastly, after the longest 15 days of my life, I got into Makeup Forever TV & Cinema Academy, Paris. And now I leave for Paris in exactly 22 days (22nd August)! I've got almost everything settled and I can't wait to start my new life! I'll be alone for almost a year and yeah, I can't believe I'm going to 'college'.

Well, this post might seem like I'm bragging, but it's really not. I just wanted to share what I've been upto and I'm really grateful for everything! I'm now back to blogging and will do my absolute best to update often! Now that I'll be in a new country, I'll be able to do so many cool videos and posts. I hope to see you all soon, here and YouTube!

I love you all very much and I hope you all take care! Until next time~

BEAUTY: Skincare Routine, Products to use for Acne, Home Remedies, FAQ.

Hey Guys!
It's been a while and I finally decided I have to post something and now that I am completely free from school, I though "Why not do a post dedicated to skincare?" Especially because I have been getting so many questions on my Ask.fm page about this topic.
Let's jump right into it!

What is the proper skincare routine?

Everyone knows about the basic 'CTM' (Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing) routine, but this is not enough for our skin. It's necessary to use at least a couple more products to actually make your skin better.
Here are the steps and products (I personally use) for the road to better skin-

Day Time Routine-
1. Cleanse- Wash your face in the morning with your favourite  face wash. The best is to let your face air dry, but honestly who has the time for that? So simply dab the towel to dry your face, and remember dab, not rub. Rubbing can damage the skin and cause wrinkles.

I really like this face wash as it gets everything off and doesn't dry my skin out.

2. Toning- This step is not that important in the morning, but if you want to, then go ahead. Simply dampen your cotton with the toner, drag it along your face and let it sit (you can wash it off if you want to).

3. Moisturizing- I think this is the most important step of the routine. Bringing moisture to your face is so important because it helps the skin be plump, soft and makes it look youthful!

I am currently using this and I really like it! Try it out, it's a good and cheap option. And it has SPF 25| PA+++, so I use this as my sunblock.
I am in love with this baby! This makes my skin so super soft. Totally recommend! Unfortunately this doesn't contain any SPF.

4. Sunblock- This step is just as important as moisturizing. It is so important to use sunblock during the day as it helps block the harmful UV rays, it prevents skin cancer and prevents tanning.
-Now, an important thing to remember is reapplying your sunblock every 2 hours! Yes, I know this is hard to do, but the effects of sunblock fades away after 2 hours and then you are prone to die of skin cancer.
-Another thing to keep in mind is that the sun's rays are the worst from 11 am- 4 pm.
- The minimum amount SPF required is SPF 20.

I love this thing. It's really good for the face and body!

5. Lip Balm- Now, don't you forget your lips! Your lips have the thinnest layer of skin and they need to be protected, so use a good lip balm with SPF.

Night Time Routine

1. Cleansing- If you are an avid make up wearer/user you have to remove it all! Yes, I get lazy and I am super guilty of sleeping with my make up on! But after I started to remove it, my skin felt so much better!
- I use wet wipes to clean my make up. Usually two are enough to get off everything. I prefer to use the baby wipes as they are gentle and get everything off!
-Lately I've been using this cleansing thing from Neutrogena. It removes everything, like everything!! No need to use the wipes. It's just like the clairsonic, but without the brush heads. This product has really helped me so much with getting my skin in better condition!

2. Exfoliation- It is important to exfoliate once or twice every week (depending on how much dead skin you have) to have smooth skin.
I often notice that people don't know the proper way to exfoliate and this can lead to skin damage!
The proper way is to use a scrub and gently massage the product into your face using your fingers, rubbing in circles, for soft skin. The following are the scrubs I use-

This is a harsher scrub.

This is a better option for people with sensitive skin

3. Toning- This is important to do at night! A toner helps balance the pH levels of your skin.
-I use the Clinique toner in 'Step 2' for dry skin. Although I have combination skin, this has worked so well for me!

4. Moisturizing-  So super important at night! Night is when the skin rejuvenates itself and moisture is super important for that.
It helps repair the skin and makes it look plump and fresh.
Using a simple moisturizer for the night time is not enough.
There are many different products that provide moisture for our skin, such as-

-Facial Freshener: You are supposed to use this after cleansing and toning. Use it how you would a toner, just don't wash it off.
-Essence: This is a miracle worker and a complete game changer! Just take some in your palms, rub it in your palms and pat it on the face.
-Emulsion: This is like a thin cream. It provides really good moisture and makes your skin soft! Apply it just like you would essence.
-Enriched Cream/ Moisturizer: Finally you can apply your moisturizer! Please do not drag the product on your skin, this can cause wrinkles. Just pat it or gently rub it in.-Eye Cream: Eye cream is important, and no you cannot use regular cream for your under eyes! The skin is thinner and requires a specific product. To apply, simply pat it in using your ring finger (as it is the most gentle finger),avoid dragging as you might get wrinkles.

I personally follow all these steps and use all these products. This is also the very brand and line I use. It is the Collagen Moistfull Skin Care Kit from Etude House (South Korean Brand).
NOTE: Use all of the products and in this particular order.
5. Lip Balm- Yes, lip balm, again. Take care of your lips people! They need love too. Fun fact- Your lips show signs of aging before anything else, so please keep them moisturized. Some of my favourite Lip balms are-

Acne, Products to use and Masks for Acne

What is Acne? What are the causes?

Acne, medically known as Acne Vulgaris, is a skin disease that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. It commonly occurs during puberty when the sebaceous (oil) glands come to life - the glands are stimulated by male hormones produced by the adrenal glands of both males and females

There are so many people suffering from acne and some common causes for acne are-

1. Hormonal- This is the probably the most common cause for acne. Teenagers, people in their early 20's and children can be suffering with hormonal imbalances causing the acne.

2. Genetics- They play an important role in the composition of your skin and if anyone in your family suffered from acne in the past, the chances are, you will too.

3. Bacteria- Bacteria build up from many things can cause an outburst. If you have a small pimple and it gets infected, that can cause acne. It's hard to get rid of such acne as the bacteria feeds on the sebum and if there is over production of sebum, the acne will get worse. This kind of acne will continue to return as long as it can make a home in your body.

4. Cosmetic Allergy- If you use a new product and break out, it is most likely that you are allergic to something in it. Be it sunblock or make up, if it clogs your pores, it will cause acne.
-Other than this, hygiene can also be a problem. Such as- not cleaning your make up off, not cleaning your phone, not changing your covers, etc.

5. Food Related Allergy- Food allergies may not be noticeable and you may brush them off, but in the acne department, they are really bad. Allergies can trigger acne  and its not pretty. Food sensitivities an cause acne too, but it shouldn't be very severe.
-Fun fact- Lactose can cause acne, so don't over do it with the dairy products.

Products that help with acne-

Products that contain acidic properties are really good to use for acne. It helps kill the bacteria and cleanses all the dirt.

OTC Products or 'Over-The-Counter' products can be bought without a doctor's prescription and are applied on the skin, unlike medicines you intake, which need prescriptions.
(These products are only for mild acne and I will refrain from talking about prescription medicine as I am not a professional.)

The common acids you will find in OTC products are-
1. Resorcinol- Used for dandruff, eczema and psoriasis.
2. Benzoyl Peroxide- A common acid used in acne products, it works as a peeling agent and helps break down acne.
3. Salicylic Acid- The most common and very effective one! Helps break down black/white heads, reduces shedding of cells and helps with inflammation.
4. Vitamin C- A common household vitamin found in lemon and honey. Helps in fading acne scars.
5. Retin-A- Helps unplug blocked pores, it is also used for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia. This can be used as a chemical peal as well.

Me, my mother and aunt all use these products when we have acne. They are great to prevent any developing pimples. Just put the cream on the spot and magically it will reduce, dry up ore disappear!
Some Home Remedies and Masks for good skin-

1. Honey, Lemon and Sugar Scrub- Simply cut a lemon in half, dip it in honey, sprinkle sugar and rub it on your skin. It works wonders! Benefits:
-Reduces the tan
-Brightens the face
-Lightens the blackheads
-Moisturizing
-Easy to make
-Tastes Great :)

2. Multani Mitti Pace Pack- This method is very old and common. Multani mitti contains a high level of  magnesium chloride which helps to reduce acne. It is easily available in the market and its really cheap!
Just mix it with a little water or rose water (great for oily skin) or add milk and almond paste (great for dry skin). Benefits:
- Helps with acne
- Exfoliates
- Makes your face glow
- Organic
- Fades acne scars

3. Sheet Masks- These have been all the rage in the skincare world lately. These have taken the world by storm and I can totally see why! These masks are cheap and so helpful. Benefits:
- Brightening
- Moisturizing
- Makes skin glow
- Easy to use
- Hydrates the skin
- And fun to scare people with!
Some of the best brands are- Etude House, TonyMoly, Skin Food, Missha. I personally prefer the Korean or Asian brands for sheet masks as they give the best results.

NOTE: In case you don't find sheet masks, the easy thing to do is using some essence, dipping cotton in it and putting it over your face. In Hyderabad you can find it in  Kathiawar Stores.

4. Rice Water- You must be wondering 'What? Rice water? What is that?' Rice water is the most easily available and beneficial thing. Go to your kitchen, get some rice, wash and drain a  once or twice and when the water is a little milky, you can just splash and pat it on your face or use it as a mask by dipping cotton in it or make a scrub out of it. You can also use it on your hair! Benefits:
- Natural toner
- Keeps hair strong and healthy
- Reduces the size of pores
- Good cleanser

5. Turmeric or Haldi- Yes, I am talking about haldi that we use in cooking. Haldi is used for ages as an acne treatment.
Just mix the haldi powder with rice flour or chick pea flour, yogurt or milk (for oily skin) or coconut oil or olive oil (for dry skin), honey and some lemon. Benefits:
- Brightening
- Fights acne
- Fades acne scars
- Exfoliates
- Makes your face glow.
NOTE: Before you use it, give a patch test as you could be allergic. Also, do this mask 2-3 days before an event (if any) as it can stain your skin!

FAQ-

1. How often to exfoliate?
A.Once or twice a week.

2. What age should I using skin care product?
A. It's best to start using them after you are a teenager, as this is the time when you really need help! But an intense one is not necessary till you turn 15 or 16.

3. What age should I start using Anti-Ageing products?
A. Its best to start when you turn 20. I know that's early, but the earlier, the better.

4. Is it okay to use make up over acne?
A. Yes, it is perfectly fine to do so, unless your dermatologist says otherwise. Just remember to take it all off before sleeping and let your skin breath. Also, if you have sensitive skin, you should stick to brands like clinique.

5. What kind of moisturizer should I use?
A. Oily Skin- Stay away form oily formulas and stick to gel.
Combination Skin- Better to stick to a gel formula.
Dry Skin- Something with a little oil, but not too much.

That was all. As usual, I wrote a lot! But recently I have really started to see a huge difference in my skin because of all the steps and products I've mentioned above.

One of the most important things to remember is to be consistent while following a routine. But, remember to change up your routine one in a while because once the skin is used to a particular routine, it can loose its effect.

Hope this is helpful to all you humans out there and I'll see you all next time!

BEAUTY: Foods to Eat for Healthy Hair

Hey Guys!

I often get questions about my hair, how I got it so long, how I manage it, what I eat, etc. So today I'll be answering one of the questions- What I eat and don't eat to get my hair healthy. I have some tips that will really help (I don't follow all, but I'm still going to mention them).

But, before I get into what I do, I want to talk about one of the main reasons why we have unhealthy hair-  low stomach acid. It is the cause of hair fall and other problems, this is because the acid in your stomach is preventing all the nutrients to reach your blood and then to your scalp. A healthy scalp = healthy hair.

What NOT to eat/do:

1. Junk Food: This causes excess gasses in the body.

2. Sugar (white): Eating natural sugars like honey, maple syrup, fruits, etc. is perfectly fine.

3. Dairy

4. Gluten

5. Don't eat on the go! I think most of us are guilty of doing this and its not a good habit because the food doesn't get digested properly.

6. Wearing tight cloths: This is really bad because you can't breath properly, wearing tight cloths pushes the acid up and it can lead to stomach cancer.

7. Dieting: This is like the biggest no-no! If you want healthy hair, you need nutrients for that and not eating will do the opposite. So don't you ever diet!

What you should eat:
1. Ginger Tea: Ginger is really good for you in general, but other than that ginger tea really helps cure heart burns. If you're going to drink it, lay off the milk and just add a little ginger (depending on how strong you want it) in hot water. You can add lemon juice and honey if you want. Drinking it this everyday is great.

2. Green Tea: As we all know green tea is amazing for us. It helps loose weight, but that's not the only thing its good for. Green tea actually helps in digesting and it strengthens your hair and nails.

3. Apple Cyder Vinegar: Having a tablespoon-full of this will really help in breaking the stomach acid. Have it just before your meal.

4. Coconut Oil: Yes, you can eat it! But don't eat the hair oil ok? If you can find the solid kind, then just take a tablespoon-full and swallow it. It is so amazing for your hair and nails. If you don't want to do this then melt it and put the oil on your hair (the solid is better than the hair oil). I personally just oil my hair with normal hair oil as I've never found the solid version of coconut oil in my city.

5. Hazelnut Butter: I know nutella is made of hazelnut but don't eat nutella thinking its the same as hazelnut butter. Nutella will make you fat! Anyways, hazelnut butter is very high in biotin which is a B7 acid responsible for breaking down proteins, fats, etc. And it's a great sub for nutella as it tastes almost the same! I don't actually eat the butter but I take a vitamin pill called Brewer's Yeast as a substitute for biotin.

6. Fruits: Ok, not everyone likes fruits, but they are so good and important for us! They provide natural sugars and so many vitamins that are important for us. So eat them, but never as dessert. That makes them loose all their properties. So eat them as a small meal or snack after work/school/an activity just to you get your fruit intake for the day.

Some things you can do while eating to help the digestion be faster and better:

1. Chew your food properly: Not chewing the food properly prevents the body from breaking down and properly absorbing the food and this can cause various issues. I am totally guilty of not doing this >.<

2. Before you eat, breath a few times and smell your food a little. Doing this gives a signal to the brain so that it can get ready and signal the stomach to prepare for digestion.

3. Drink lots of water. People always tell us to drink water as its so good for us! Water helps in flushing out all the toxins and helps us pooping better :'D which gets rid of excess waste so the waste can't build up into gas. I personally am really bad about drinking water.

Beauty and Random Favoutires Of 2014

Hey Guys!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!! Now that its 2015, I wanted to talk about my favourites of 2014.

______________________________________________________

Fashion-

1. Crop Tops

I have been obsessed with these two crop tops lately and I even took them to my recent vacation to Pattay.
I'm not sure where I got the tops from!

2. Cropped Sweater.

I got this from Mango a while ago, but I've been wearing it a lot lately!

3. Muscle Tees

Again I got this a while ago from Mango. I love this thing <3 I also really like wearing my cropped sweater over this.

3. Shoes

These I got in early 2014 from Charles and Keith and I love them! They are really comfortable, but can give shoe bites.

Not the ones I own, but black flip flops are a basic and I love mine <3

4. Shorts

I have the exact same pair and I love it so much. I don't wear them for workouts, just lounge around the house cuz lets be honest..... I don't workout :P

Another very basic piece I love. The brand is ALSO.

Make Up-

1. Urban Decay Naked Palette 2

This is my all time favourite eye shadow palette! I love U.D products in general, but this is the best thing they ever came out with. All the shadows are buttery and blend so well!
My favourite colour is Blackout. I swear its the blackest black I've ever used! I use the flat side of the brush it comes with to apply the colour on the lids and for blending I use MAC's 217 & MAC's 224. As for the smaller parts of the eye, I use MAC's 219

2. Garnier BB Cream

This baby makes my skin look flawless! I love this BB cream and I pretty much used only this on my face this entire year. I use the MAC blending sponge to apply this.

3. Garnier Under-eye Roll On Concealer

Another amazing Garnier product that I used all year! I use this for my under eyes, highlighting my entire face and even all over as a foundation. The coverage is fantastic and the roller ball feels so good. It's like a mini-massage.

4. MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

Amazing product! It's the darkest eyeliner I've ever used, its smooth and creamy. Application is super easy and I love it! I use it with a paint brush (no. 00) or Vega's angled brush.

5. Lotus Eyeliner

I don't know if you can get this out of India. This is amazing <3 I use it on my waterline as well as on my lids as a substitute to my gel liner. It stays really well and it's really dark. I've tried many, many pencil liners to be able to compare.

6. Benefit Chacha Tint

This is an amazing product, it stays on so well and you can use it on your lips and cheeks. I used it almost every time I went out.
I use this with the Vega lip brush (for a gradient look).

7. Etude House Lip Concealer

I didn't get it until just 2 months ago and it quickly became a favourite. It's really creamy and doesn't dry out my lips like many concealers can.

8. MAC Candy Yum Yum

I don't have much to say about this,  I love the colour, it's not very drying and it smells really good :P

9. MAC MSF in Soft and Gentle

It gives the most beautiful and subtle highlight <3 I use it with the Vega fan brush.

10. NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk

The perfect base for eye-shadow. My shadows don't crease and it helps the colours pop really well!

11.  Kiko Contour Powder

It's an Italian brand and I got it when I went to Milan a few years ago. This has lasted a long time! Although I don't use it everyday, I still use it pretty often. The colour pay off is really good, it's matte and the best part is that it doesn't look orange. I use it with the Vega stippling brush or angled contour brush.

12. Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara (Not Waterproof)

I have only good things to say about this mascara! Lengthens, thickens, holds the curl and does not clump or smudge.

13. Lakme Glide On Pencils

Again, I don't know if you can find them outside India. I have only tried one (warm copper) and I really love it! The colour pay off it amazing, it's creamy and smooth. I use it on my lash line to add some brightness.

14. Kryolan Ultra Foundation Palette

I first used this on clients when I was in beauty school. I really love this. It's super natural looking, no matter how much you put on, doesn't crease or cake and has a good lasting power. The finish absolutely is beautiful! I still have to go purchase it myself >~<

15. Kroylan Concealer Palette

This baby provides so many choices and has shades for all uses! Easy to blend and I really love using this for my clients as well as me! The coverage is just as fantastic as the lasting power.

16. Kroylan Translucent Loose Setting Powder

Yes, it has shade options. TL 6 is for cool undertones, TL 11 for warm undertones and TL 9 for darker undertones. I really enjoy this produce (I use the TL 6). A little goes a long way and it's a little messy but what loose powder isn't?

Dramas-

1. Triangle

I can easily say that this is one of the most amazing dramas I've ever seen! The characters, actors, story and direction was so beautiful! And Kim Jaejoong is in it....... who doesn't want to watch Kim Jaejoong being sexy as eff?

Plot:
Three brothers lose their parents and grow up separately without knowing the whereabouts of each other for more than 20 years. Because they have taken on new names and are all grown up, they are unable to recognize each other later on. Jang Dong Soo (Lee Bum Soo) the oldest brother become a detective, while Dong Chul the middle brother uses an alias name Heo Young Dal (Kim Jae Joong) to become the boss of a crime gang. The youngest, Dong Woo (Im Si Wan), grows into a cold person after being adopted by a rich family. The three brothers fates become intertwined as they become bitter adversaries.

2. Cunning Single Lady

This was such a fresh concept! I love the comedy and the sadness in the plot. The actors were amazing and portrayed the characters so well!

Plot: A romantic comedy about Na Ae Ra (Lee Min Jung) who dreams of meeting a white knight after getting divorced from Cha Jung Woo (Joo Sang Wook) when his business failed, but as soon as he becomes a successful venture businessman, she tries to seduce him back while the ex-husband Cha Jung Woo tries to date her again to get revenge.

3. Modern Farmer

Its a stupidly dumb and funny drama. Originally I just saw it for the sake of my Hong-chan (Lee Hongki) but it was really amazing and I fell in love with Honey Lee's beauty <3 Just how is she so beautiful!? Oh and the villagers! They're so funny :'D

Plot: There is a rock band called "Excellent Souls (ExSo)." The band consists of Lee Min Ki (Lee Hong Ki), Kang Hyuk (Park Min Woo), Yoo Han Chul (Lee Shi Un) and Han Ki Joon (Kwak Dong Yun). The band decides to move to the countryside and becoming farmers. There, the drama series follows their dreams, loves and friendships.

4. You're All Surrounded

What a beautiful story :') The actors <3 I even cried when I finished it!

Plot: Eun Dae Gu (Lee Seung Ki), Uh Soo Sun (Go Ah Ra), Park Tae Il (Ahn Jae Hyun) and Ji Gook (Park Jung Min) - otherwise known as the P4 - are the new recruits in the violent crime unit at Gangnam Police Station. These rookies are neither enthusiastic nor passionate about their new jobs and have joined the crime squad for varying but unbefitting reasons. They are lead by an erratic and hot headed Seo Pan Suk (Cha Seung Won) who wants nothing more than to wash his hand off of the incompetent new recruits. This drama follows the journey of these young cops as they fumble, learn, fall in love and find their way to becoming people the citizens can trust.

5. Surplus Princess

It was unfortunately short but really sweet <3 I cried a little for this too :P The actors are so good and Song Jae Rim <3 Holy hotness!
Not to mention the plot is really unique and unlike other drams, but the cliches remain.

Plot: Aileen, the eighteenth princess of the mermaid world, dreams of becoming a human because of a love one. She drinks a bottle of the human potion, before she even realize the 100 day consequences to this potion. Before she reaches the 100th day of being a human, she has to find her perfect love one. Will she be able to find him in time?

6. Emergency Couple

Plot is similar yet different then Cunning Single Lady. The actors are amazing and I love how the plot was always consistent.

Plot: A romantic comedy about a couple who got married during medical school but due to their clashing personalities divorced soon afterwards. They are reunited six years later as interns at a hospital. Will love strike again for the two?

7. Witch's Romance

I love this one so much! The story is unique and man the kissing scenes <3 The lead actor (Park Seo Joon) is super sexy and I love Uhm Jung Hwa (from Seducing Mr. Perfect).

Plot: Ban Ji-yeon is a 39-year-old investigative news reporter at Trouble Maker. Her job is the most important thing in Ji-yeon's life, and she's so passionate about it that colleagues call her a "witch" behind her back. Ji-yeon focuses all her energy on work because she stopped believing in love after her last boyfriend, 41-year-old war photographer Noh Shi-hoon disappeared prior to their wedding day.

Yoon Dong-ha is a 25-year-old guy who runs a small errand center with his friend. Their store will do pretty much anything for a customer, including dressing as Santa Claus, or providing security for an idol star. Dong-ha seems happy-go-lucky, but he hides a secret sorrow, having lost his girlfriend to a fatal heart problem. Since her death, he's lost all his ambition and drive, with his career plans sidelined.

Sparks fly when Ji-yeon and Dong-ha meet, and despite the age difference, they find a lot in common with each other, including their scarred hearts.
